MMPRC endorses South Asian Travel Awards

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has endorsed the South Asian Travel Awards – the most prestigious award given to businesses working in tourism industry of the region.

Vice President of SATA, Tuan Saabir Vaffoor met with officials from Association of Travel Agents and MMPRC to celebrate the endorsement.

During the meeting, Vaffoor noted that Maldives was the biggest partner of SATA, and said that MMPRC endorsing SATA made the event all the more vibrant.

He also expressed confidence more countries would join the event in the future.

Acting Managing Director of MMPRC, Haaris Mohamed said that being nominated for SATA presented a huge opportunity for development of the tourism industry in the region.

Haaris noted that the multiple nominations of Maldivian tourist businesses presented huge opportunity for development of the businesses at a regional level.

SATA 2016 is organized by Colombo Chamber of Commerce, is being managed by Maldivian event organizer – High Rise. The gala event will be held in Mount Lavinia Hotel, Sri Lanka from November 15 to 16.
