Man arrested for sexually assaulting a child

A man has been arrested in Kaafu atoll for forcefully sexually assaulting a small boy.

Police Media Official said that they arrested a 54-year-old man in suspicion of raping a small boy.

The Police Media Official said that the arrest was made on Saturday night around 7:50 p.m. with a court order in a special operation following the information received to Police Intelligence.

The man was remanded by 15 days to be kept at a location designated by the Home Ministry to continue the investigation.
