Maldives in SIAL Paris, largest food innovation exhibition

Maldivian fisheries industry is taking part in SIAL Paris 2016, the world’s largest food innovation exhibition.

Maldivian fisheries organizations are joining 7,000 companies from more than 100 countries that are participating in the exhibition – in a first for any Maldivian company.

The exhibition started on October 16 and will continue until October 20, in Paris, France.

Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture reported that the SIAL Paris exhibition was a good opportunity to secure more market for Maldivian fish products, promote the country’s sustainable fisheries practices and create and promote new products.

Maldivian organizations participating in the exhibition are:

• Maldives Fisheries Promotion Board

• MIFCO

• Horizon Fisheries

• Ensis Fisheries

• Cyprea Marine Seafood
