Man arrested from Gan Airport with narcotics

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man with a shipment of narcotics en route to Addu City.

The man was arrested from Gan International Airport on the evening of October 7.

Police reported that the two packages of narcotics were found hidden inside his boxer shorts.

The two packages weighed a total of 522 grams.

The case is under investigation by Gan Police Station.

Maradhoo Magistrate Court has remanded the man to 15 days in police custody.
