Islamic Ministry: Want to work with religious organizations on the same platform

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has said that they want to work with the religious organizations on the same platform.

In an interview with Sun Media, the Deputy Minister of the Islamic Ministry, Mohamed Mustafa Ibrahim said that the Ministry’s thinking is to work together with the religious organizations on different religious events and matters and so far, one such activity has successfully been conducted.

“We at the Islamic Ministry is looking to, very soon, hold a workshop with the (religious) organization. For two days, the workshop will be held. We want to work on the same platform with the religious organization.

At the Islamic Ministry events on the last Eid al- Adha, the support from the religious organizations was tremendous according to the Ministry.

Mustafa said that the Ministry has been meeting religious organizations once a week to discuss the challenges facing the organizations. And so he noted the financial difficulties faced by religious organizations.

Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad has previously said that he would work to find a way to fund religious organizations with the Zakat Fund. The Minister has now started reviewing the fund allocation regulations of the Zakat Fund.
