Global Green USA honors President Nasheed

Environmental organization Global Green USA has presented honors to the former President Mohamed Nasheed for his efforts to raise awareness and protect the environment.

Global Green is an extension of the environmental protection group, The Green Cross founded by Diane Meyer Simon and the former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail S. Gorbachev.

They have been presenting annual awards to notable figures in the fields of environmental protection.

And so the honors are being presented to Ex-President Nasheed as a Champion of Global Environment and for his efforts on democracy and human rights according to Global Green.

Honors are also being presented to Director of Sustainability at Facebook, Bill Weihl, President and CEO of Eath Friendly Products, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks and Actor and Activist, Shailene Woodley and Lori Woodley.
