Economic Ministry announces Best App Challenge 2016

Ministry of Economic Development has announced a mobile application and software development competition – Best App Challenger 2016.

Ministry of Economic Development said that the Best App Challenge was part of the government’s effort to develop Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry of the country; and increase youth participation in the ICT industry and provide more opportunities for the youth to excel.

Applications and software can be submitted in five categories:

• Tourism sector

• Educational sector

• Healthcare sector

• Fisheries and agriculture sector

• Open category

The deadline to register for the competition has been extended to 2 pm, October 12.

Those who participate in the competition will be required to make their presentations on October 17th and 18th.
