Eem brings smiles to the faces of children in Kudakudhinge Hiyaa

Singer Eem Nizam brought a smile to the faces of children living in the children’s shelter in Vilimale’ – Kudakudhinge Hiyaa – with her event ‘A Tribute to Kudakudhinge Hiyaa’ on Friday evening.

The evening was filled with fun activities as Eem sang for the children and donated gifts.

Speaking to “Sun” Eem said that holding such an event had been a dream of hers, and was very happy to have finally been able to make it a reality.

“It had always been a dream of mine to provide assistance to Kudakudhinge Hiyaa, the poor, the people who need it. Today, the dream became reality,” said Eem.

She said that she wanted to bring a smile to the faces of the children and make them happy.

“I believe that the biggest charity is bringing a smile to faces of children,” said Eem.

Eem had originally wanted to hold the event from money made out of album sales. But said that the money from sale of her music album had not been enough to fund such a costly event.

Eem had funded the event through sale of scarfs from her collection “Handmade by Eem Nizam”.

She said that her handmade scarfs had met with huge success, especially from Sun Foundation, Empress Maldives, Brilliant Trading and Free Flocks.

Eem said that she was getting ready for a bigger and better such event, next year.
