A second Maldivian Hajj Pilgrim dies

A second person among those making the Hajj Pilgrimage from the Maldives has passed away.

The 51-year-old Jameela Mohamed, who was on the Hajj Pilgrimage with Echro Hajj Group, passed away last night.

Earlier this month, Jameela began treatment at King Faisal Hospital in Mecca after her health condition depleted. She passed passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Previously, a Maldivian Pilgrim passed away following a heart attack. The Pilgrim who died on the night of Eid following a heart attack was Abdulla Nasir on the Pilgrimage with Sisilfaru Hajj and Umrah Group.

Five companies were given permit to take people to Hajj this year along with the Hajj Corporation where 2000 people went on the Hajj Pilgrimage from the Maldives. And eight MPs and 15 state officials made the Pilgrimage as guests of the Saudi King.
