Maldivian increases flights to meet rise in demand

Maldivian Airlines as increased their flights to meet the rise in demand ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Maldvian reported that they had scheduled 10 more flights to Kadhdhoo as the Eid was being officially celebrated in L. Atoll this year, in addition to four more flights to Fuvahmulah, one flight to Thimarafushi and six more flights to the rest of their domestic destinations.

Head of Administration of Island Aviation – which runs Maldivian, Ali Nashaath Hameed reported that the extra flights had also been all booked up.

The Eid holiday extends from September 9 to 17.

Meanwhile, National Meteorological Service has forecasted rainy weather and rough seas for a large part of the country over the Eid holiday.
