An announcement has been made seeking a contractor to build a guesthouse on the southwest beach of Haa Alifu Muraidhoo.
Muraidhoo Island Council said that a decision has been made to lease a land of 45,579 square foot from the islands south west beach for 50 years to build and operate a guesthouse.
The Island Council said that bid applications are open for the project for the interested parties.
While the land is being leased for 50 years from the date of agreement, the Council said that 24 months would be given as a grace period to start the project.
Bid document is being sold for MVR 2000 by the Council and will be available until 29 September on weekdays at office hours from the Muraidhoo Island Council.
The pre-bid meeting is set for 29 September and bids would be accepted until 31 October according to the Island Council.
