Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant against Abdulla Luthufee, H. Haajaraage, who escaped while on a medical visit abroad while serving a life sentence for his involvement in the terrorist invasion on 3 November 1988.
Maldives Police Service issued a statement today saying that Luthufee the court ordered that he be arrested and brought to the country for refusing to return to the country and fleeing after he went abroad on a medical visit while serving life in prison after being convicted of his involvement in the attack on the Maldives on 3 November 1988 where a number of innocent people died.
Former Home Minister Umaru Naseer has previously said that a reward of USD 10,000 would be award to anyone who provides information to the Police about Luthufee that leads to his arrest.
