President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, on Saturday, completed the challenge made by Secretary-General of Olympic Committee Ahmed Marzooq by completing a training session with top Maldivian athlete Hassan Saaid.

Spokesperson of President’s Office Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that Yameen completed the training session with Saaid at Aarah.

In addition to Yameen, Marzooq also made the “Training with MV Champs” challenge to former Maldivian presidents Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Mohamed Nasheed and Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik.
All four political leaders accepted the challenge, with Dr. Waheed completing the challenge by swimming with top Maldivian female swimmer Aminath Sajan last Thursday.

Maumoon has been challenged to complete a training session with the singles, doubles and team-event badminton bronze medalist during the Indian Ocean Island Games in 2011 and 2015.
Meanwhile, Nasheed has been challenged to complete a training session with athlete Samha Ahmed, who won a bronze medal for Maldives during the Indian Ocean Island Games in Reunion Islands in 2015.
They need to complete the challenge before the Paralympics with will start on September 7.
