Air surveillance operation begins at EEZ

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has started a joint surveillance operation with the Indian Navy at the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Maldives.

MNDF said that their officers and the Indian Navy would be working closely in the surveillance operation being conducted by air. And to conduct the surveillance of the EEZ, a special aircraft of the Indian Navy has been brought to the country.

The three-day operation would be monitoring if any illegal activity is taking place at the EEZ and would be taking steps if such activity is noticed.
