South-Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof – who is currently serving two prison sentences amounting to 10 months and 24 days – was taken to Male’ on Thursday morning for a hospital visit.
Information Officer of Maldives Correctional Service, Ahmed Lugmaan spoke to “Sun” and confirmed that Mahloof was brought to Male’ and taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for a doctor’s appointment.
Mahloof’s father, Mohamed Husny informed “Sun” that his son was taken to the hospital after he had an allergic reaction to something he ate. But said that he was in generally good health.
The lawmaker was last brought to Male’ and taken to ADK Hospital five days ago.
He was imprisoned after he was found guilty of obstructing police from performing their duty on two separate occasions.
