Minister of Finance, Ahmed Munawwar has said that the government has arranged the USD 20.9 million (MVR 322.3 million) needed to build the 100-bed tertiary hospital at Equatorial Convention Center in Addu City.
Munawwar said that the finance was arranged through loans from Saudi Fund and OPEC Fund for International Development.
Saudi Fund for Develpment will be providing a loan of USD 12.5 million, while OPEC Fund for International Development will be providing a loan of USD 8.4 million.
