Maldivian government has discussed with the Indian government regarding holding Maldives Investment Forum for 2016 in India.
Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim – who is on an official visit to India, met with Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Monday.
Indian Express quoted the Spokesperson for Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup saying that Asim and Swaraj discussed the Maldivian government’s plans of holding the 3rd Maldives Investment Forum in India.
Asim was reported to have said that the government planned to hold Maldives Investment Forum in New Delhi at the end of 2016.
The first Maldives Investment Forum was held in 2014 at the Marina Bay Sand, Singapore. And the second one – in Beijing, China in 2015.
