Islamic Center to be built in Hulhumalé

Islamic Minister Ahmed Ziyad has said that discussions are underway with the Managing Director of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) to build an Islamic Center in Hulhumalé.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Masjid al-Zaid bin Saabith in Hulhumalé today, Minister Ziyad said that building an Islamic Center in the near future inHulhumalé has been discussed and a land for the project has also been assigned.

The Masjid opened today by the Vice President Abdulla Jihad was funded from the budget of the Islamic Ministry and can accommodate 650 people in prayer.
