“Literature” to be taught as a separate subject in schools

Dhivehi Language Academy has compiled material and sent it to Ministry of Education to include “Literature” as a separate subject in the school curriculum.

“Literature” is to be taught as a subject to students from Grade 1 – 12.

President of Dhivehi Language Academy, Ashraf Ali spoke to “Sun” and said that he hoped

“Literature” would be included in the school curriculum and taught to students very soon.

“We will see ‘Literature’ being included in the curriculum and taught very soon. This gives us immense happiness,” said Ashraf.
