WOB to conduct country-wide gender diversity survey

Non-profit organization which advocates corporate governance and gender diversity on Boards - Woman on Boards (WOB) has made the decision to conduct a country-wide survey on gender diversity during the upcoming year.

WOB said that the survey would be conducted in collaboration with the British High Commission, and would be based on a previous work of research.

The organization said that findings of the survey on gender diversity and equality would be shared and discussed on a national platform.

WOB said that a capacity development and training center in the plans would also be established in Male’ during the upcoming year.

The organization also has plans of widening the reach of the center to the atolls.

WOB held its annual general meeting on Friday night, during which members were elected to vacant posts.

This includes:

• Aminath Maiha Adam (G. Sheesha Tower, Male’) as Secretary-General

• Aminath Dhunya (M. Dhekunu Aage, Male’) as Treasurer

• Noora Ibrahim Zahir (Ma. Ever Bright, Male’) as a Board member
