Addu bus travel priced between MVR 10-20

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has announced the prices it has set for bus travel within Addu City.

An official from MPL spoke to “Sun” on Sunday and said that the first week of bus travel would be completely free of charge.

He said that after that, bus trips from Gan to Hithadhoo would cost MVR 20 – a vast improvement from the MVR 100 taxi charge to make a one-way trip from Gan to Hithadhoo.

Passengers traveling from Gan to Feydhoo on the bus will be charged MVR 10, and bus travel charge will not rise above MVR 20 for anywhere within Addu City.

Bus travel is G. Fuvahmulah is to start this Sunday, but the rates have not been finalized yet.

The official from MPL said that the rates would be similar to that charged in Addu City.

MPL is using modern air conditioned buses to provide the service to Addu and Fuvahmulah.
