Ministry of Health has said that the number of reported cases of dengue fever in the country has gone down.
Three people have died from dengue this year, the last death coming a month back.
Deputy Director-General of Ministry of Health, Thasleema Usman spoke to “Sun” on Tuesday, and said that there wasn’t currently any critical case of dengue in the country, and that the number of reported cases of dengue had also gone down.
She said that 85 cases of dengue were reported 2 weeks back, and just 46 cases during the last week.
“More than 100 cases were reported during the peak. God willing, the rate is going down,” said Thasleema.
Dengue is a viral disease transmitted through mosquitos.
The general public have been warned to destroy mosquito breeding grounds to stop the outbreak.
