A total of 13 busses have been brought to Gn. Fuvahmulah and Addu City to inaugurate a public transport service.
CEO of the Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Mohamed Junaid told Sun Media today that while the company has been contracted for the bus service, the 13 busses that would be in use has now been imported to the country.
Junaid said that the vehicles currently at the Malé port would be taken to Addu and Fuvahmulah in within the next week.
He said that the transport service would begin in a few days after the vehicles arrive at their destination.
The 13 busses that were imported are brand new, large busses.
