Two people working on construction of Male’-Hulhule’ bridge were left injured after the dingy they were travelling on overturned on Sunday.
One of the two people – a Maldivian, has already been taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
IGMH media coordinator Zeenath Ali Habeeb reported that the man was not in critical condition.
“He said he banged his head somewhere. He’s stable,” said Zeenath.

Meanwhile, authorities are also trying to transport the other worker injured in the incident.
Police information officer reported that there were two people onboard the dingy when it overturned. And that further information regarding the incident was not available at the moment.
Police and Maldives National Defense Force officers are operating in the area.
