Traffic complaints to be reported through a free SMS

Maldives Police Service has set up a system where concerns and complaints regarding traffic issues can be reported to the Police through a free text message or SMS.

Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali told Sun Media tonight that such complaints can be sent to the Police by typing “TMD(space) “ to 119 and the Police would work to resolve any issues.

He said that it is a free text message and the complaint in the message would be looked in to by the Police.

Police said that the traffic Police are working hard as it is to manage a solution to parking and other issues in the heavy traffic city of Malé.

The Police request that the messages being sent are a responsible ones.
