Heart attack patient airlifted from Veymandoo

A heart attack patient in critical condition was airlifted from Th. Veymandoo to Male’ last Saturday night.

The woman was being treated at Th. Atoll Regional Hospital hooked up to a ventilator at first, but was airlifted on the helicopter donated to Maldivian military by Indian government and transported to Male’ when her condition worsened.

One of the patient’s family members and two doctors were also transported to Male’, along with her.

The helicopter is stationed at Iskandhar Military Base, located in L. Kaddhoo.

The patient is now being treated at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

The hospital is yet to release any information regarding the patient’s condition.
