Fire at a house in Henveiru

A fire incident has occurred at a house in Henveiru.

Police said that the fire incident took place around 8:05 p.m. tonight at Maafolhey Villaage.

The Police Media Official said that they have been working with MNDF to extinguish the fire from the moment it was reported.

He official said that the fire has now been controlled and no one was injured in the fire.

An official of the Police involved in controlling the fire told Sun Media that the fire started due to an electrical short at the incomplete elevator shaft and the fire was quickly extinguished.

“We have no completely cut power from the building. And evacuated everyone living in the house. After making sure that place is safe, electricity would be given again.” The official said.
