STO opens pharmacy in Henveiru

STO opens Henveiru Pharmacy with minor services like blood sugar tests and body mass index.

The pharmacy opened tonight between the Prosecutor General’s Office and Dhamanaveshi (Maldivian Blood Service) is the second STO pharmacy in Malé City. The other STO pharmacy in the capital is at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The pharmacy was opened by the Chairman of STO, Ahmed Niyaz and the Managing Director of STO, Ahmed Shaheer.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, STO Chairman, Niyaz said that STO has completed their project to open a pharmacy at every inhabited island in the country and the pharmacy opened in Malé City tonight would provide quality service.

He said that the STO targets to improve the service in the health sector in the future.

Aside from the medication being available under Aasandha, the pharmacy also has Mueller athletic tape and medal brand and Philips medical equipment.

Medical beds, wheelchair and other medical equipment are also available at the newly opened pharmacy by STO.

On the occasion of opening the new pharmacy, STO donated nicotine patches and blood bags to the Maldivian Blood Service and donated Crono infusion pumps to three children with thalassemia.
