Yellow alert issued from K. Atoll to G. Dh. Atoll

National Meteorological Center has issued yellow alert for islands from K. Atoll to G. Dh. Atoll due to bad weather.

Yellow alert is issued to warn citizens and state authorities to get ready for an emergency situation that may arise from bad weather.

Sea travel during bad weather – rough seas, strong winds and chances of whirlpool is not advisable.

Yellow alert was issued from 11:45 am to 3:30 pm, Wednesday.

National Disaster Management Center has advised citizens and local government authorities to be prepared for flooding from heavy rain and strong tide.

They advised to keep sea travel to emergency situations only, and for people involved in sea transportation industry to be keep up to date with changing weather conditions.
