Police release suspects arrested in stabbing

Police have released two suspects arrested for stabbings that took place in Male’ in the pre-dawn hours of Friday.

Police media official said that the two suspects were released on Friday itself, and that police did not have sufficient evidence to hold them.

Police have not released any details regarding the two suspects.

The stabbing took place on Friday at around 1 am, in front of Jelly Restaurant on Majeedhi Magu.

Two young men were stabbed in the incident – one of whom is still being treated at ADK Hospital.

The other victim was released from hospital after treatment.
