Principal of Hiriya School, Ismail Masroof – who was arrested for allegedly flirting with a student – has been suspended for a month as investigation into the case continues.
Masroof was arrested Saturday night, and then released by Criminal Court on Sunday night with some stipulations.
Permanent Secretary for Education Ministry, Dr. Abdul Muhsin Mohamed said that Masroof had been suspend from his post as principal for one month, and would not be allowed inside Hiriya School until investigation into the case is complete.
When contacted by “Sun”, Masroof said that he did not wish to make any comment regarding the case at the moment.
Maldives Police Service and Family and Child Protection Department are investigating the case.
