A large number of dead fish has started washing up on some of the island of Maldives.
Some of they island that talked to Sun Media said that a number of dead fish has been washing up on their islands yesterday and today.
Director General of the Marine Research Center, Dr. Mohamed Shiham Adam told Sun Media today that reports have been coming in from the island about dead fish. And it's likely to be caused by low Oxygen due to low tide and high temperatures.
Dr. Shiham said that it is possible that the fish fishes are dying due to low oxygen caused by low tide at closed reefs.
He said that they have noticed dead fish washing up on the islands are reported in March and April of every year.
The Marine Research Center advises not to consume dead fish being washed up on the islands and bury them.
Met Office said that the country is experiencing high heat these days and the sea is hot as well.
