Cases of Papa, Amir and Rikaz sent to PG

The cases against the former Head of the MNDF Armoy, Colonel Ahmed Fayaz Ali Riyaz (Papa) and the two bodyguards of the former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb, Sargent Hassan Rikaz and Corporal Ahmed Amir has been sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PG Office).

Sources say that the cases against the three were sent to PG Office sometime this week.

Criminal Court extended the remand of the three people today again for 15 days.

The police have brought up multiple charges against the three men including manufacture of weapons, arms smuggling, conspiracy to commit murder and terrorism.

The details of the charges brought up against them are unclear at this time.

The three men were arrested on 24 February after they were released from the detention of MNDF for a long time.
