Police have found money related to the Addu City businessman, Abdulla Ali who was found murdered.
A large sum of money discovered buried during the search of a house tonight and Police said that the investigation so far has revealed that it was money stolen from the shop after killing the businessman.
The Police also took a woman at the residence to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital after she had a medical episode after witnessing the Police officers dig up the money at the house.
Deputy Head of the Crime Investigation Command, Chief Superintendent Mohamed Riyaz said that the murder investigation is progressing well.
While two has been arrested regarding the murder, Police have been conducting searches at multiple locations.
The owner of the Hithadhoo, Two Wave shop, Abdulla Ali was found dead in a groove. He allegedly sleeps inside the shop at midnight. A search was conducted for him when he did not return home in the morning and his shop was broken into.
Police said that the victim was found on the morning of 2 March around 8:50 a.m. in some plants.
According to the doctors, he was dead on arrival.
The family of the victim said that there were signs of injuries on the body.
