A second person has been arrested in relation to the murder of a businessman from Hithadhoo, Addu City.
Information Officer of the Police, Ismail Ali said today that a 39-year-old man was arrested today in relation to a homicide that has taken place in Addu City.
Aside from the arrest, the Police also search two houses in Addu City.
Previously, a 24-year-old man was also arrested in relation to the case.
The owner of the Hithadhoo, Two Wave shop, Abdulla Ali was found dead in a groove. He allegedly sleeps inside the shop at midnight. A search was conducted for him when he did not return home in the morning and his shop was broken into.
Police said that the victim was found on the morning of 2 March around 8:50 a.m. in some plants.
According to the doctors, he was dead on arrival.
The family of the victim said that there were signs of injuries on the body.
