Police have found evidence in their investigation into the murder of Addu City Hithadhoo businessman Abdulla Ali.
Police media official informed “Sun” that police officers had dug the swamp area near Hithadhoo School where Ali had been found murdered and found further evidence there.
The official said that he could not reveal details regarding the evidence at this time.
“Yesterday they sealed off the area and dug the area. To find evidence. And certain items from the area was taken by police,” said the official.
Police have now arrested a 24-year-old man in relation to the case.
Ali’s family members said he had bruising around his neck, consistent with strangling.
