Young man stabbed in the head in Malé City

A 25-year-old man is being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after being stabbed in the head this afternoon on Alikilegefaanu Magu in Malé City.

The Media Official of IGMH, Zeenath Ali Habeeb confirmed that a young man is being treated at the hospital’s A&E since around 4:30 p.m.

She said that according to his doctors, he was stabbed on the left side of his head but the injuries are minimal and so are working to release him after treatment.

Police Media Official said that an attack with a sharp object was reported around 4:19 p.m. and the case is under investigation.
