Businessman found murdered in Hithadhoo

Body of a businessman from Addu City has been found discarded after being murdered.

The body, found in a swamp area has been identified as Abdulla Ali from Buruneege in S. Hithadhoo.

He is the owner of the shop – Two Wave – located in Hithadhoo.

Police media official said that 53-year-old Abdulla was found murdered in a swamp near Hithadhoo School at 8:50, after search efforts started at 7:15.

A source from Hithadhoo informed “Sun” that the door of Abdulla’s shop had been wide open when his family members went to the shop in the morning, and that they suspect the shop had been robbed.

Police media official said that they were looking to see for any sign of injury on Abdulla’s body.
