Foreign Minister Dhunya Maumoon has met and asked after the wellbeing of Maldivians living in United Arab Emirates.
Dhunya met with the Maldivians in a special reception hosted in UAE for them, which according to Foreign Ministry was very well-attended.
Dhunya left for a 2-day visit to UAE on Saturday.
Foreign Ministry has said that Dhunya was invited to visit UAE by the country’s Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During Dhunya’s visit, she will be handing over a letter by President Abdulla Yameen to President of UAE, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and holding discussions with Minister Abdulla bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dhunya is joined on the trip by Maldivian ambassador to UAE Abdulla Hameed and Assistant Director of Maldivian Foreign Ministry Mariyam Bassama Farooq.
