1 arrest over robbery in Gasfinolhu Resort

One has been arrested after a group of masked robbers stormed Gasfinolhu Island Resort and stole the resort’s safes.

Police media official spoke to “Sun” on Saturday and said that a Maldivian man had been arrested in relation to the case, but gave no further details.

The group of masked men stormed the resort late Thursday night, tied up the resort’s employees and stole four safes.

“They stole four safes. Police team is investigating the case,” said the official.
