Ahmed Ibrahim is also in critical condition. And arrangements are being made to transport him to Shangri-La.

The incident took place as three men attempted to lift the anchor of a safari near G. Dh. Gaddhoo – which belongs to Ref Cool Travel and Tours, after there was some problem with the anchor.

“The issue with the anchor arose while they tried to take off in the morning. So some youngsters from Gaddhoo were called up to take up the anchor for money. These youngsters went to the safari. Two young men from Gaddhoo went to take up the anchor. These are the two young men that faced the problem,” said Gaddhoo Island Council President.

The men had run out of oxygen while under water.
