Corpse found on Dholhiyadhoo beach

A human corpse has been found beached on Sh. Dholhiyadhoo – an island which is being developed into a resort.

Police said that the case was reported at 9:50, Wednesday morning.

Police officers stationed at Sh. Funadhoo, along with a doctor working at Sh. Atoll Hospital is in the island; while a police forensic team from H. Dh. Kulhuddufushi is on the way.

Police said that initial assessment shows that the corpse had been dead for some time now.
