Government creates new company Khazaanaa Maldives Limited

The Maldivian government has created a new company Khazaanaa (Treasure) Maldives Limited to establish an Islamic Financing Center and to gain funds for the state via Islamic Financing.

The resolution signed by President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom to create the company says that the reserve of the company is MVR 1 billion.

The company was created under the Law of Companies as an independent company.
