MP Nazim requests more time abroad for medical care

Imprisoned former Dhiggaru representative at People’s Majlis, Ahmed Nazim has requested with Maldives Correctional Service for an extension to number of days allowed for him to stay abroad for medical care.

Correctional Service Information Officer Moosa Rameez said that Nazim made the request last week. And that the decision on whether to allow more days for him would be decided by Correctional Service Medical Board.

Nazim has already been allowed more time, and had been required to come back January 5.

He was allowed to travel abroad after he spent over a month admitted at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

Nazim is serving a life sentence after he was found guilty of graft.
