MMPRC audit shared with investigators

Audit Office has said that they have shared the special audit of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) with investigators.

Audit Office Media Official Mohamed Naseem talked to “Sun” on Saturday and said that the special audit on MMPRC has been shared with Anti-Corruption Commission and police – who are investigating corruption charges.

Naseem said that the audit report would be released as soon as the authorities give the go ahead.

Government has asked Audit Office to make an audit of MMPRC from November 17, 2013.

Auditor General Hassan Ziyath is brother of Abdulla Ziyath – who had been Managing Director of MMPRC during that period.

Hassan has said that he would have no involvement in the audit on MMPRC, and that it would instead be handled by Assistant Auditor General Aiman Ibrahim.
