A hearing in the abuse of official authority case against the former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Gafoor has been scheduled for tomorrow.
The hearing was scheduled to 10 a.m. by the Criminal Court. The last hearing was on 17 December 2015 where the former Vice President was given a period of 30 days to appoint legal counsel.
Although the previous hearing was conducted via video conference, former Vice President Adheeb would be brought to the courthouse tomorrow.
He was also brought to the court for a hearing in the terrorism case against him.
Adheeb was charged with abuse of power for leasing a lagoon in Malé atoll to a foreign company in such a way that paves the road corruption and misappropriating the funds that he received in return.
He was charged under Article 513-C of the Penal Code in reference to Article 513-B.
