Dhiraagu: Individual opinions are not this company’s

Telecom company Dhiraagu has said that individual opinions expressed by their employees.

The statement comes after public outrage at a tweet sent out by Dhiraagu Chairman and State Minister for Finance Mohamed Ashmalee regarding imprisoned former Maldivian president Mohamed Nasheed.

In response to the bad publicity, Dhiraagu posted on their official Facebook page that personal opinions expressed by individuals and even directors of the company was not Dhiraagu’s opinion or stand. And that the company was saddened by the posts being shared through social media condemning Dhiraagu.

Ashmalee had tweeted that he hoped the plane Nasheed was flying on to get to UK malfunctioned and dropped into the ocean.
