First Lady released from hospital

First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has been released from Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital after being admitted there.

Government has made no official comment regarding the nature of her illness.

However, “Sun” has been informed by IGMH she was admitted and treated there, and released on Saturday.

She was admitted for over a month at IGMH earlier after the explosion that took plane onboard the presidential speedboat on October 28.

She had been sitting on the chair where President Abdulla Yameen when the explosion occurred, which resulted in fractures on her backbone.

IGMH media coordinator Zeenath Ali Habeeb, when asked about Fathimath’s health status, said that the details would be released by President’s Office.
