Funeral prayer for Ziyada at Aasahara in afternoon

Funeral prayer for Ziyada Naeem from G.dh. Thinadhoo who died while receiving treatment at Intensive Care Unit of Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for extensive injuries from sexual assault will be held at Aasahara Cemetery after noon prayer on Wednesday.

Ziyada’s body was brought back to Male’ on Tuesday night after it was transported to India for post-mortem.

Ziyada’s husband Ibrahim Shah, 40, has been arrested for the crime; with police changing the angle of their investigation from sexual assault to manslaughter.

She is survived by her three children.
