Fire breaks out on supply boat with four on-board

A fire has broken out in the engine room of Maadhoo 2, a 100-foot supply boat, while on its way to Raa Furaveri from Malé with four crew members on-board.

No one was injured.

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said the incident was reported at 3:10 a.m. on Monday, 21 December 2015, following which its rescue team arrived at the scene and managed to control the fire by 6:15 a.m.
